Dr Che‑yung (Jeff) Chao
Dr Che-yung (Jeff) Chao graduated from the University of Otago in New Zealand and completed his physician training in Queensland, primarily at Princess Alexandra Hospital.
After completing his fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, he undertook an Advanced Fellowship in Inflammatory Bowel Disease at McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
He is currently a Senior Staff Specialist at Princess Alexandra Hospital with a special interest in inflammatory bowel disease.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr Chao has published original research in multiple international peer-reviewed medical journals and is actively involved in international clinical trials investigating advanced therapies for gastrointestinal disorders.
Dr Chao is committed to providing clear explanations, evidence-based treatment and personalised care for all patients.
